WHY THIS ONE
Four things the counter changes
It sounds like a gimmick until the first session where you lose count at forty-something and have to start the set again.
- Your attention stays on the rope
- Counting and skipping compete for the same attention. Hand the counting to the handle and the rhythm holds together.
- The tally is where you can see it
- Set into the top of the handle, readable mid-set without stopping. A counter you have to stop and check is not solving the problem.
- Grooved sponge grips
- Soft foam with a grooved profile, which is what stops a handle turning in a damp hand halfway through a set.
- The cord adjusts to you
- Up to 287 cm, shortened at the handle. Rope length is the single biggest reason skipping feels impossible, and it is fixable in thirty seconds.
HOW TO USE IT
Ready in three steps
-
1
Adjust the length
Stand on the middle of the cord: the handles should reach roughly to your armpits. Too long is slow and trips you; too short catches your feet.
-
2
Check the starting count
Look at the counter before you begin so you know where the set started. Secure the cord at both handles before use.
-
3
Jump and track
Clear space around you, low bounces, wrists doing the turning rather than the arms. Read the tally at the end, not during.
Secure the cord at both handles before use, and keep clear space around you.
IN USE
Where it earns its place
- A warm-up
- Two or three minutes before anything else, which is what most people use a rope for.
- Interval work
- Thirty seconds on, thirty off, with the counter making each round comparable.
- Outdoors
- A driveway, a park, anywhere with clear space overhead.
- A gym bag
- It weighs almost nothing and it is the cheapest conditioning tool there is.

Before you use it
- Clear the space around and above you before you start — a rope at speed finds lamps, doors and other people.
- Skip on a forgiving surface. Concrete is hard on ankles, knees and hips over time.
- Check the cord and both handle connections before every session and stop using a rope with a frayed cord.
- Stop if you feel sharp pain in a knee, ankle or shin rather than general effort.
- If you are new to skipping, are carrying extra weight, or have a joint or heart condition, start with very short sets and talk to a healthcare professional first.
This is fitness equipment, not a medical device. Skipping is high impact. If you have a knee, ankle, hip, back or heart condition, or you are returning to exercise after a break, talk to a healthcare professional before starting.
BEFORE YOU ORDER
Questions people ask
Does the counter need a battery?
The manufacturer notes that no battery is supplied with the rope. If your unit has a digital counter that needs one, it takes a common small cell. Message us if you would like us to confirm the exact type with the supplier before you order.
How accurate is the count?
It is a mechanical tally driven by the rope turning, so it counts rotations. Expect it to be close rather than perfect, and treat it as a training aid rather than a measuring instrument.
How do I shorten the rope?
At the handle — release the cord, pull the excess through and secure it again. Stand on the middle of the cord to check the length before you cut anything, and most people never need to cut it at all.
Is it a speed rope?
Not really. It has bearings and it turns smoothly, but a counter handle is heavier than a bare speed handle. This one is built for steady sets and tracking, not for double-unders at maximum speed.
What colour will I get?
This listing ships in one colour. If you need a specific one, message us before ordering and we will check what the supplier has.
How does the multi-buy discount work?
It comes off on its own at checkout, with no code to type. Two items anywhere in your basket take 10% off, three take 15%, four take 20%. They do not have to be the same product.
When will it arrive?
Orders are dispatched within 1–2 business days and tracking is emailed as soon as the parcel leaves. If it is not for you, unused items can be returned within 30 days — email us first for the return address.
